What are your rights as students?

We have always been asked to fulfill our duties and responsibilities towards teachers and schools. But no one ever cared to tell us what are our rights. Our basic right are speech and dress. We have the full right to express our opinions in dressing whatever we want and feel but with disturbing class and school regulations. We have the right to a fair treatment and equality in education. So all students should have equal educational opportunities whatever their colour, race, sex, and/or religion.

Our lockers, backpacks, purses, and cars are subject to be searched only if the school has the policy to search them when they feel that they might find a reasonable suspicion  or doubt to find something that might be harmful or is an evidence to a violation/crime.

We have the right to the privacy of our results and exams. No one is entitled to see our exams only the people with concern, i.e. parents teachers and administration.

The final right, is we have the right to apply an objection to the administration. And also be given sound evidence from the rules and regulations of the school.
